Stampin' Up!'s Retirement List

Tomorrow (June 15th), the retirement list for the Spring/Summer Catalog comes out. I can't wait to see it. I need to set up some stamp camps for this summer! Hopefully, our scrapbook group will get together on Friday. I get more done when we're all together. I love being with friends, working and laughing! Harry Grohman's funeral was today. His oldest son, Robert, gave a wonderful eulogy. It was tough, but he got through it. It was very eloquent and sounds like he's on his way to be a Lutheran Pastor. He would be great with the teenagers and could relate to them. Tomorrow is Father's Day. Are you ready? Evan wants to go to WalMart and get some fishing lures for his day. The like to fish on vacation - whenever that will happen this year! Evan's on all-stars and could play baseball through July. YIKES! The beach is calling me!!!

March 1st

I really want to make a go of this blog! I've got to do better this year. I am going to post some cards soon - probably Tuesday or Thursday. I have a picture for my art class to complete by Wednesday. I better get on it! Please check back for updates. Thanks!

It's been a month and a half since my last post! YIKES! Where does the time go??
We just got back from a week at the beach. We had an awesome time - taking it easy on the beach, shopping, going to MARGARITAVILLE and the Dixie Stampede and spending time with friends. We're all tan and rested and none of us wanted to go back to work. Go figure!
I'm having my July Stamp Camp on Sunday - National Ice Cream Day. Any reason to stamp or scrapbook. Speaking of scrapbooking - two of my friends and I scrapbooked last month on a Friday night. We worked until 1am, packed our cars and got into Denise's car and drove 2 1/2 hours to the Jockey Lot in Anderson, SC. There's a lady who comes there around 5am on Saturdays and sells scrapbooking supplies at a very low cost! Denise, Lynn and I laughed ourselves silly on the way. We shopped until 6:40am, went to Cracker Barrell for breakfast and drove back to Columbia. We arrived home around 10am. Even though we didn't get any sleep, I would do it again. I think we all need silly things like that in our lives with all the problems we deal with on a day to day basis.
Please keep my niece, Stephanie, in your thoughts and prayers. She is in Iraq for another month and a half. We are looking forward to her (and all others serving over there) safe return.
These are some cards we've made at various Stamp Camps or Shoebox Swaps (all images copywrite of Stampin' Up! 1998-2007). I wish some of the Hostess Sets were in the new catalog. I love this set, especially this specific stamp.
A Christmas card in July?? If I don't start now, I'll never get any done. I am so busy with my monogramming business in November and December, stamping falls by the way side. Not that I'm complaining!
This card is from the last Shoebox Swap. It was designed by Kathy Brennan and stamped by....ME!
Another Shoebox Swap card. This one is designed by Amy Turner. Turn your head to the right to see if correctly - - I forgot to rotate it! ;o)
Shoebox Swap card designed by me. I love these circles. Yet ANOTHER set retired.
I will post more cards later.
Hope everyone is having a great week!

May 30, 2007

I have been into cleaning and not much else! YIKES! What's wrong with me? I hate cleaning so I'm taking advantage of my 'mood'. I need to stamp and add pictures to my blog soon!! I have a HUGE case of spring fever. Does anyone else? I don't want to go to work at all. I just want to stay home and work in the yard and on the house. I don't even have a window at work - and I have to go outside to defrost because they keep it so darned cold. We're down to 30 days left of the 2006-2007 Stampin' Up! catalog. There are many beautiful sets that are being discontinued. If you live in Columbia, SC and like SU! stamps and would like to place an order, give me a call.

My first post

Finally - I'm starting my blog! School's out for me and my kids so I have some time to myself. I have gone back to school for an Elementary Education Degree. I have a Bachlor's in Finance and Accounting, but I've always wanted to teach. I cleaned all morning and afternoon, then went to see 'Pirates of the Caribbean' this evening. I have done any crafting today. Bummer! But the movie was great! Orlando Bloom is absolutely gorgeous in the movie!! Oh, to be young again. I will start posting some of stamping projects and try to find a decent picture of myself to post online either tomorrow or Monday. Have a great evening, everyone!
